The law of the exercise of sports professions does not allow federative coaches to access the Official Registry of Professional Catalan Athletes (ROPEC). Such a hindrance leaves federative technicians in a very vulnerable and precarious professional situation.
This is why UFEC has worked to ensure that federal training is not undermined, eventually achieving recognition in 2015 by which federal qualifications were accepted as an alternative way to access the Registry, thus allowing the majority of professionals within the sector to continue developing professionally.
